The school, sponsored by NQSTI, aims at forming PhD students by offering them a broad overview from fundamental physics to out-of-the-lab applications. Well-recognized researchers from solid-state physics to quantum information and atomic physics will provide the fundamental science aspects, while entrepreneurs and scientists in research and development will discuss the industrial opportunities of quantum technologies. The training will give the PhD students a unique view on state-of-the-art quantum experiments and their applications, together with industrial outlooks, with a particular focus on photon-based qubits.
