Solid-state quantum technologies are nowadays at the core of both technological innovation and fundamental research. The School, organized in Catania by the National Quantum Science and Technology Institute (NQSTI), aims to provide in-depth of current topics as:
- Quantum hardware (super- semiconductors, impurities, topological)
- Open quantum systems (non-Markovian to many-body)
- Optimal control and AI for quantum
- Quantum sensing
- Quantum thermodynamics
- Selected topics: quantum meters, multiplexing, frequency transduction, modular architectures, energy/climate/health, enterprise
The school is aimed at PhD students, recent MSc graduates, final-year MSc students, early career researchers wishing to acquire training and skills in the field of solid-state quantum technologies.
By an interdisciplinary approach alternating lectures on both theoretical and experimental aspects delivered by distinguished scientists in the field. The school will set out to to encourage scientific exchange among all participants with time for discussions and poster session.
