As part of the European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance (EELISA) "Innovation Talks", Scuola Normale Superiore is excited to present a panel discussion exploring the fascinating realm of quantum technology and the second quantum revolution. This event promises to offer a unique opportunity for those outside the field to gain a firsthand understanding of quantum science and technology (QST), with a particular emphasis on practical applications in industries and on information processing. Professors Fabio Beltram (Scuola Normale Superiore), Carlo Sirtori (École normale supérieure), and Vittorio Giovannetti (Scuola Normale Superiore) will discuss what quantum science and technology is, what we can expect, and its practical impact on our world today. Three guest speakers will present examples of the significant impact of QST research into industrial innovation: Federico Mattei from IBM Quantum Business Development EMEA will present the point of view of a large corporation, while two spin-offs from Scuola Normale Superiore and École normale supérieure will be presented by Michele Dallari (Planckian Srl) and Sébastien Jezouin (Alice & Bob). The event will be held on October 30th at 16:00 CET at Scuola Normale Superiore in a hybrid format and streamed live to the world on EELISA's YouTube Channel.
